The New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) , held for the past 45 years, is a major calendar event in the publishing world. NDWBF 2018 was scheduled from 6 to 14 January 2018 at the centrally located Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
“Maybe one day, I will write about kids” continues Amita Baig when asked if she has written books for kids. Amita Baig is the Author of Taj Mahal : Multiple Narratives , also a heritage conservationist . The team of allaboutkiids spoke to Amita Baig regarding the new venture of the company to be India’s leading parenting website. We told her about the need for a combined source of information for all the things required during the journey of Parenting. Her response to our idea was very encouraging.
Sudipto Mookherjee , Consumer Businessman of Bloomsbury India , explained to us that composing books for kids isn’t an easy errand. Somehow, all children’s books need to arrange that space, regardless of whether it’s reasoning about how the content of a picture book will sound when perused out loud, or how the child sees him or herself in a world run by adults.
“There is an intriguing line between the child you once were and the children you know now.”- Tarun Gautam, Author of Rewind And Play and Father of a 2 year child reciprocated the ill-effects of modern gadgets on Toddlers. He told us how difficult it is to handle the challenge that technology keeps in front of the parents.
Kanika Chauhan , writer of Wondrous Years All-in-One (Reading and Writing Book) . She shared with us the criteria used to create reading/writing books for kids. Reading Books consist of only the learning portion whereas Writing Books are for the revision of reading material. The writing books are a help for the teachers and students, as the reliance on notebook decreases.
Interviewing the authors from World Book Fair was a great experience for us. This venture gave us a very useful insight .
