Pranayama:

3ways to boost kids’ immunity

Pranayama is a yogic practice of conscious breathing which is derived from Sanskrit, prana is “life force“and Yama is “control”

Let’s understand how to practice pranayama

Instructions to practice pranayama (Anulom vilom)

Pranayamas should be performed on an empty stomach

Step 1: Sit in a lotus pose with an erect back and close your eyes

Step 2: Close the right nostril with your right thumb

Step3: Slowly inhale oxygen through the left nostril, fill your lungs with air

Step4: Remove the right thumb from the right nostril and exhale

Step5: when you exhale use your middle finger to close the left nostril

Step6: Repeat this cycle for 10-15 minutes every day

Benefits:

  1. It calms nerves and heals mental problems, anxiety, and stress these are all underlying causes of major health issues in the long-term (i.e. organ damage, mental trauma )

Improves the 

  1. breathing function of lungs
  2. Improves immunity system by increasing antibodies
  3. Synchronizes energy flow in the body to improve the cells’ memory and functioning

Citrus fruits:

Lemons, Limes, Oranges, and many more are great sources of vitamin c, a nutrient that helps in building the immune system by increasing white blood cells. which helps us to gift against various infections.

Apples:

A famous quote from our childhood we are hearing is “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Why do we say that?

Well, Apples are loaded with soluble fibers, vitamins, and essential minerals required for the body. Apples improve digestion and neutralize free radicals produced in the body  

Guava

Guava fruit has more vitamin c than citrus fruits and is also a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. These substances act as antioxidants which slow down the harmful effect of oxidation

3. Walking

Everyday walking for at least 30 minutes can do miracles for our body

  1. Improves blood circulation subsequently lowers heat-related risks
