Do Not Touch | Godrej Protekt

Ever Said ‘Do not touch’ To Your Kids?

When you say “Don’t touch this” indicating something to your children, what happens? Their curiosity bones keep tickling them to touch the thing which they are not supposed to touch.

Children these days are very curious about their surroundings. They want to touch and feel every new thing around them. Their continuous exploration of the world mostly happens with touching objects that pull their attraction. And they are unstoppable when they are being told to stay away from them. Stray dogs, dirty swings of the park, dust-covered vehicles, as you said “No, don’t touch it”, the first thing children do is to touch it to find out why not to touch!

For kids, touching is learning.

They understand new things mostly by touching and playing with them. And in this process, they get their hands dirty and come in contact with a lot of germs. This is the thing that we, mothers fear. We want to keep kids safe from germs and any kind of bacterial infection. That’s why we keep saying No to things that look dirty to us.
However, just one habit that can keep our kids safe from falling sick is “Hand washing”. If we can inculcate the habit of hygiene in our kids, they can keep exploring the world without getting sick. To showcase the same idea, Godrej protekt conducted a short experiment by putting objects in front of kids and telling them to not touch it. Thus instilling a sense of curiosity in them to check the object by touching it. Watching this video below to understand this cute experiment.
In this video, we see kids staring at the ‘Do not touch’ signboards wondering what to do, and then going ahead and doing just what was expected of them – touching! We find them touching everything, from wet paint to dirty cars, to learn more about them.
Godrej protekt as a brand believes that parents must let their children be children and encourage them to step out of their homes to explore the world. They feel that parents should allow children to touch everything in their surroundings to understand it. And with their hand hygiene products, Godrej protekt is helping parents in encouraging kids’ natural tendency to learn about the world around them, through touch.
As parents, we can’t keep our kids always inside our houses. They will go out for sure, and once they find the reason to touch something, they do naturally. They will do what they instinctively feel like doing, and that’s how they learn. And we parents must not really come in the way of their fact-finding. Rather we should focus on instilling good hygiene habits (like hand washing and use of sanitizer when needed) in them. We should make sure they stay safe and healthy during their exploration days. Let’s stop germs, not our kids.
