Detox Drink: If you’re looking to revive yourself from within while increasing your energy level and your overall well-being, a body detox may be in order. Detoxification is the process of eliminating toxic substances from your body. Before beginning any detox diet, it’s always good to check with your doctor, especially if there are any health concerns.  According to the authors, detox drink recipes can assist in ridding your body of toxins and bringing it back into a healthy balance.

INGREDIENTS:

Chopped ginger (adrak)-1/3 cup

Lemon juice-1 1/4 tsp

Cloves (laung/ lavang)-4

Cinnamon (dalchini) powder-1 1/4 tsp

Chopped lemongrass (hare chai ki patti)-1/4 cup

Chopped tulsi leaves (Indian basil) leaves-1 tbsp

Honey-2 tbsp

METHOD:

  1.  Boil 4½ cups of water in a deep pan, add all the ingredients except honey mix well and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.

2.  Strain and pour into 4 individual cups.

3.  Add 1½ tsp honey in each cup, mix well and serve immediately.
