Washing underarms and wearing deodorant is a rite of passage and many teens may dislike or ignore. Sweat starts to become body odour at different ages, but it often begins around 9 or 10 years old. Talk to your child about the importance of washing under their arms, especially after sports practice. Deodorant controls bacteria and adds scent, while an antiperspirant also helps to minimize sweating.
