“You have made it through the first year of parenting…Woohoo!
It’s time to party!”
Every mom wants to ensure that their baby’s first birthday celebration is perfect and becomes special for all the guests and the parents too. Even though baby won’t be able remember their first birthday party celebration, turning the big one is a special milestone all parents love looking back on. When they take a trip down the memory lane, this is one of those things that will leave a huge, gleaming smile on their lips.
Here are some super fun first birthday party ideas to kick start your planning:
Theme parties: From parties inspired by glitter, sprinklers, party poppers, strawberries, and lemonades to princess bashes of every variety to boy-perfect soirees featuring mad scientists, pirates, ninjas, superheroes, marvels and even construction cones. There are lot of options to choose from. Select the one theme that is closest to the heart of your cherub.
Party invites: The e-invites (electronic invitations) have some cute features that make the invites nice, cute and impressive. Why not to go for them.
First milestone captured: The first year is dedicated to all firsts!! Pin up all your baby’s first… smile, tooth, crawling and standing up for the first time on to the wall.
Entertainment: All the kids really need is a few fun games to keep entertained! So don’t miss out a party entertainer who can engage all the kids to play games including dancing statue, paper dance, fruit salad, through the hoopla, and games involving parents.
“There’s a lot to juggle, but here are a few theme ideas that can help you and your kiddo tossing party hats into the air.”
Sunflower theme: Last year we came up with sunflower theme for our niece first birthday. Wall décor would say it all, nice big flowers welcoming the guests, with a large standee on the entrance which had our doll’s photograph welcoming them. Selfie point with our doll’s pout picture was the eye catcher, and everyone was gifted back the picture clicked there. We had a decorated buffet birthday table with best of the sunflower themed cake, little cupcakes which had those cute little edible flowers on them spread all over the table, along with the candies kept in the jars. And it all just blossomed in the birthday bash. Return gifts were cupcakes and candies in colorful Mason jars placed in the sunflower themed basket.
Pool party: Book a water park, and that’s it. Nothing else is needed. The only song in the air could be “Aaj blue hai pani pani”. The swimming pool themed cake will take all the hearts away. Not only kids but adults can also enjoy the water slides, waves and the amusement park. And what better return gifts could be then a DIY umbrellas!!
Retro/ Vintage: It is an all-time favourite sport. Outfit your party space with lots of retro party decorations.
Tie peace signs, smiley faces, bright flowers, vintage records, tie-dye table covers, kaleidoscopes and disco balls into the décor.
